Arieana / Day 10

Kristina:
Well there is one character i ran into while reading the book Our America. It was a boy named George he was 13 years old and he dropped out of school, so he could go sell drugs on the street. It was strange to because in the book on page 43 it said when he was goin to school he was nice looking but now that he has dropped out he looked like a bum. I couldn't figure out why would he settle for less. Why would he risk letting go of his education to stand on a corner, looking like he's homeless to sell drugs. His friend Lloyd told him in twenty years he will be on the street begging for a quater. George quoted " I ain't gonna be alive in twenty years because I'll be selling drugs and they're gonna pop my ass. No one's gonna be alive in twenty more years!" That was just strange to me.
If i were to meet George, he would really be on mind and heart because its really sad to see somebody that young already giving up on life. I would try to convince him to go back to school and give him examples on what he could accomplish by getting his education and where he's going to end up if he go down that path of no schooling.
