Kristina: Two strange characters, ten year old Johnny and eleven year old Tyrone are the main cause of grief on the second part of Our America. Basically five year old Eric Morse was invited to the 14th floor of a high-rise building in south side Chicago. He was later dropped from the window, his brother unable to save him because Johnny bit his hand. Both ended up causing a tragedy because the end result of dropping Eric 14 story was his death. Like the main characters Le Alan and Lloyd, if I met both Johnny and Tyrone I would have asked why doing something so tragic would even cross their minds.
Debbie: Since I have the same book then I would have to say the same thing about Le Alan's mother having a disability. There's not much to say besides the fact that Le Alan still loves her. I have a best friend who has epilepsy and he has to take pills everyday. He can't do most of the things that I'm able to do and while I'm able to leave home and become independent he has to depend on his family and they rarely let him out of there sight. It also makes me angry how much his disability limits him but he's still my best friend and I only hope for the best for him.
