Dark Humor is a way of making something dark funny it's used in movies as well as books. In Our America we are introduced to a new character named Stevie he decides that he will act like this used to be Disk Jockey named David Duke. Stevie was only 13 at the time a friend of Lealan and Lloyd's its amazing what he had to say. Stevie talked about David Duke and some of his Klu Klux Klan brothers came into a black neighborhood and was confronted by the blacks who owned the territory. So he did his Klan call and Klansman came out the sewers and woods and etc and some of the black guys got away so the Klansman followed them to Harlem and hung them and burned them etc. Stevie took something very dark like the Klu Klux Klan and the race issues and made it to where you would laugh but also think. When i first read that it touched me that some young kid would talk about something so serious and make it funny at the same time make you think. How could he be that smart at his age you don't think kids think or know about things like that but there he was talking about it. That was deep he took his emotions and anyone else's
emotions on that subject and put it together with humor and at the same opening my eye's and probably other's as well.

Sickness is a part of life sometimes you are born with it or it's hereditary there's just somethings you can't control most of the people in my family are sick but it's my grandma that affects me the most. It's hard to imagine the family without my grandma she is the backbone and the heart that keeps us beating. She has been diagnose with early stages of Dementia and it's heartbreaking to know the woman she was and who she is now. My grandma to me was a giant and now she's shorter then me at times she can't remember things she moves things around then can't remember where she put it. I know it frustrates her and she cry because at times she realizes what she's going through. She repeats herself and forgets some of the things that has taken place in her life. I don't know what i will do but more importantly how will her kids do my mom goes over to her house every other day and calls everyday to check on her my family prepares food for her and makes sure her bills are paid. My mom takes her to get her hair done every two weeks. I go visit my grandma every other week but lately i haven't seen her she's always on my mind i just wish that she could be the woman she once was. Even though she has dementia i don't treat her any different i just have more patients for her. She still will put you in your place but i have always respected her I'm just scared to lose her for my families sake and my own.
