MARK: in my book there wasn't really anything weird and out of the box because im from the south side of chicago, except probably one of the murders. there were these two little boys around the age of twelve that dropped a kid out of the window, it was a baby! i think that it was the weirdest thing because what little kid or any human being would do something like that. i feel that they must've had some bad demons on their backs to do something like that and i plead the blood on their souls. stuff like that you know people killing kids and killing others for no apparent reason or going after someones family because someone else did wrong is a disgrace to any one of mankind. something weird that i been through would probably be when last summer me and my cousin Glori was smoking weed with my other cousin James. me and Glori never smoked anything but regular weed so we told him that because he was buying it he said ok i understand. so we're smoking and i look into the sky and see a cloud that looks like a skeleton so i point it out and at first we're all laughing about.then when we look again and it looks like jimmy neutron so now we're really laughing. then next thing you know me and Glori get this feeling that everything is repeating itself so we stop and both go wait this doesn't feel right. we found out we actually wasn't smoking regular weed and that our cousin flesh and blood lied to us and gave us some other type of weed we were so mad.that day we decided to not smoke again and we haven't every since because the whole night we were out of our minds and didn't like the feeling me especially because my biological mother use to be on drugs and i didn't wanna be like that.
ARIE:there was tons of violence in my book there were shooting for no reasons kids getting killed without a heart to care. one of the boys in the book talk to his grandmother Lealan about how she feels about the neighborhood and she expresses how it changed because it use to be a nice quiet neighborhood but since the projects were put up and people are on top of each other there is alot of fighting and violence. i would say it is explicit violencein the book because they dont sugar coat anything that is going on. i think that violence on tv and movies is more creative which makes it fun to watch. like in movies they have mutants, aliens, long knives, karate skills, and stuff like that which is what i think makes it different than real life plus we know thats its not real. in real life they have people that use weapons like pad locks pocket knives and chains but its different because its real its not like theres this camera man that goes alright cut and you stop the acting and dont even feel a thing because your not really getting hurt.
