"when a person shows you who they are, believe them" famous quote by Maya Angelou. I hold that quote close to my heart because its something i had to learn. Especially coming from Detroit. Detroit is a bigger city but it still has that small town feel. It's like everytbody knows everybody. My feelings towards it are bittersweet. I love the city but it has MAJOR flaws. I was so excited when i moved to chicago this past week, but everywhere i went and everything i did; i referenced back to my hometown.
My dreams are to become a doctor, journalist, laywer and dancer. They all lead into different destinations! My first love is dance and writing next so that is why i chose columbia. I love to dance, its fulfilling and a great way to express what i cant put into words! Writing n the other hand comes second-nature.
I'm excited about the bridge program and plan to succeed and to spend the nest four years here at columbia pursuing my dreams!
