Mark: the character in my book, Marjane i believe was just a weird child period. but of course she has alot of enthusium for a 10 year old. she has alot of passion for wanting to help out her family but she is unable because she's just a child and they dont take her as serious. but her mother believes she can be anything she wants to be. being a prophet means alot to her because she knows that God wants her to be. she is really urging to get into some of the demonstrations that are going on but her parents are not very fond of that idea and tel her no. there are alot of crazy things that go on, there are were police that put movie thearater on fire with people still in it and they forbid anyone to get rescued. the fire department came forty minutes later. then marjane finds out that her grandpa was the prince or emperor and the new emperor took everything he owned. he later became the new emperor's prime minister then became a communists. this kind of thing you really dont hear everyday. it seemed like everything marjane believed in were slowly changing. finding out about her grandpa going to jail sitting in a cell with water in it.
Ari: marjane faces alot with violence and wants to do something about it. and this violenece she faces are cruel type of violence. having to see protesters carrying a dead body because they blamed it on the king. the kind of violence i see would be like fist fighting nothing really crazy like that.i mean there are verbal and phyisical abuse and i have seen things like that but nothing such as what marjane was going through especially in her early life as a child. hearing about a burning building while people still inside. i mean in the movies its different because thats the movies things that are make believe and unreal, unless they were based on a true story thats something differnt as well. you stop and think about what those people were going through and how they felt because true stories that have to do with something serious makes me think about how they were feeling and how scared they must have been.
